First night recap.

Jan was brought to Providence Transmountain hospital at 1:30am on Monday, October 17. She has a room in the spacious ER and is currently waiting to be admitted. We have no idea why it is taking so long.

She has been given two 2mg doses of morphine, which have lowered her pulse and, for the moment, knocked her out. Neither she nor Dan got much sleep last night, so this is good.

SuperDave is on the way, having stopped at Jan's at her request for some personal effects. He returned his rental car and will drive hers for the time being.

Overnight via x-rays and a CT scan it was determined that she has a cracked fifth rib, and no pulmonary embolism. At her age the cracked rib could have happened from something as simple as coughing or laughing, I was told.

Stay tuned for more updates!
